We are seeking a proactive and enterprising Data Governance & Systems Integration Specialist responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise data governance workflows and integrations across the Governance platforms. The implementation will involve upgrading and maintaining the Enterprise Data governance tools, onboarding data products for governance, managing access, building integrations and workflows between various systems, coordinating with business units, and leading training initiatives.
- Manage Alation platform updates and integrations with new applications.
- Develop and maintain custom APIs
- Coordinate with vendors for issue resolution.
- Oversee data set onboarding, catalog, and lineage development.
- Develop and maintain custom SQL-based workflows
- Act as a liaison on Enterprise projects and implement Data governance for the associated data
- Establish data governance structures for data products.
- Enrich the catalog with business knowledge
- Review and approve catalog content
- Define user access groups for the catalog.
- Process Design & Implementation: Expertise in developing and optimizing data governance processes. Project Management skills
- User Adoption: Proven ability to drive the adoption of systems and processes across business units.
- Data Quality: Strong understanding of data quality frameworks and governance best practices. Strong background in Oil & Gas Data products
- Master Data & Transaction Management: Hands-on experience with SAP and other data sources.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or related field
- 5+ years of experience in implementing data governance and systems integration- Strong understanding of data Engineering principles and model validation techniques
- Experience in Oil and Gas industry
- Proficiency in Python and API development
- Proficiency in SQL, AWS (S3, Redshift, SageMaker), and enterprise data platforms.
- Excellent documentation, problem solving and stakeholder communication skills
