The Accounting Specialist will be responsible for supporting Tiger Fuel Co.’s Wholesale and Transport teams and all of Tiger Fuel’s valuable customers. This position will be primarily engaged in wholesale billing, bill of lading reconciliation, and wholesale account management.
- Assist the Wholesale Accounting Manager with billing fuel deliveries to a growing dealer network
- Reconcile inbound fuel loads to company-operated stores and consignment locations
- Review and reconcile bills of lading against transport dispatch orders to ensure accuracy
- Update and verify daily fuel pricing across multiple suppliers
- Perform daily wholesale credit card reconciliation and prepare supporting documentation
- Assist with account creation, updates, and maintenance for new and existing customers
- Develop a working knowledge of accounting software and internal processes and procedures
- Address customer inquiries and resolve billing and invoicing issues in a professional and timely manner
- Collaborate with transport, sales, and customer service teams to support accurate wholesale accounting processes
- Assist management with identifying areas for improvement and operational excellence
- Promote the “Tiger Way” and our cycle of success by building high quality relationships with employees, customers, and outside vendors.
- Perform other duties as required and assigned.
- 1–3 years of experience accounts receivable or related functions
- Experience in the wholesale fuel industry, with a focus on wholesale billing, pricing, or reconciliation preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to reconcile complex transactions and identify discrepancies
- Proficiency with accounting and fuel dispatch/ticketing systems
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate financial information to customers and management
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel is preferred
