About This Job

General Contractor is looking to fill the position of Billing Assistant/Office Support. The individual will be responsible for invoicing, completing transactions into our current accounting system, various clerical duties within the office and be cross trained in administrative functions.

Responsibilities:

•

Collect and review service technicians’ timecards and work orders for proper billing information and accuracy.

•

Make corrections as appropriate to ensure accurate billing.

•

Calculate and extend technician’s time for billing.

•

Prepare and send invoices.

•

Research and resolve routine billing questions and discrepancies.

•

Enter vendor invoices into accounting systems.

•

Actively follow up on invoices in approving status, ensuring they are approved and posted to current accounting system on a timely basis; follow up on rejected invoices to ensure a replacement invoice is received.

•

Review job cost reports against work orders and time sheets.

•

Organize and file paperwork.

•

May provide clerical, administrative and operational support by performing other functions, including but not limited to accounting, operations, customer service, receptionist duties or other duties as assigned or apparent.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

•

High school diploma or G.E.D

•

Two years’ related experience in an office environment that includes data entry, analysis and reconciliation of accounting-related records.

•

A thorough knowledge and understanding of accounting processes.

•

Intermediate Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel skills.

•

Follow standard operating procedures and instructions to complete tasks in a timely and accurate manner.

•

Possess excellent organizational skills, manage multiple tasks, maintain attention to detail and meet deadlines.

•

Effectively interact and communicate with managers, co-workers and vendors in a professional manner.

•

Good and accurate math aptitude.

•

Construction office background preferred

Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
