We’re Hiring: Accounting Consultant
Are you a systems-savvy accounting professional who thrives at the intersection of finance, technology, and process improvement? We’re looking for a seasoned Accounting Consultant to play a critical role in shaping and supporting the tools, training, and strategies that drive our Corporate Accounting operations.
As our top-level technical expert, you’ll lead the development and enhancement of financial systems, guide cross-departmental process improvements, and serve as a go-to resource for complex accounting initiatives. This is more than a back-office role—it’s a high-impact position that touches nearly every corner of the organization, including our work in telecom, internet, and video services.
What You’ll Do:•Lead training for Corporate Accounting team members, including new hire onboarding and ongoing refresher programs.
•Act as a key team member in the implementation and maintenance of core systems such as FMS, PowerPlan, and Omnia—working closely with vendors and internal teams to manage upgrades and new implementations.
•Serve as the subject matter expert on all technical aspects of FMS and PowerPlan systems.
•Collaborate across departments to provide technical and accounting support for financial processes and system usage.
•Execute ad-hoc accounting projects involving process optimization, product analysis, and strategic financial insights.
•Represent Corporate Accounting in company-wide initiatives, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance in shared systems and data flows.
•Contribute to the development and execution of long-term financial system strategies that support new business lines and evolving operational needs.
What We’re Looking For:
•Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
•7+ years of relevant experience , including 5 years within a Corporate Accounting environment.
•Proven leadership in the design, development, and implementation of a critical automated business system.
•Advanced knowledge of company accounting practices and regulatory standards including GASB, FASB, and FERC.
•Strong analytical and organizational skills, with a process-driven mindset and an ability to translate technical details into practical solutions.
•A collaborative spirit and the confidence to serve as a shared resource across departments.:
