Accounting Manager

MTM is looking for a dynamic candidate that has a passion for manufacturing to fill the role of Accounting Manager. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for the accuracy of the General Ledger Accounting system and will own the day-to-day activity along with helping to guide the department’s strategy. This includes assisting with preparing the month end financial statements and corresponding journal entries. This individual will manage compliance with third party Audits to include the following: 401 (k) Plan Census, Workers Compensation Plan and Annual Financial Audit. Annually assist the CFO with preparing the organization’s yearly financial budget; along with working with A/P and A/R to improve the organizational cash flow through managing the receivables and payables processes. To ensure uniform accounting practices develop policies and procedures across all business locations that are in alignment with GAAP. This job is ideal for someone that loves rolling up their sleeves and digging into the details that support the numbers. This role is both tactical and analytical.

POSITIONS DUTIES:

· Responsible for the day-to-day accounting activity to include: Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Costing, Month-end Closing and Reporting.

· Analyze trends, alert CFO of performance gaps, and assist in validating cost savings projects.

· Coordinate intercompany transactions among the three corporate organizations.

· Understand sales and use tax accounting to ensure proper taxation of purchases.

· Ability to reconcile inventory, understand average cost system, and record inventory variances.

· Maintain a thorough understanding of the fundamentals of manufacturing accounting.

· Reconcile Balance Sheet Accounts and substantiate account balances.

· Assist with sales reporting and analysis of other financial reports and metric tracking.

· Comfortable working with advanced excel skills – Pivot Tables, V-Lookups, Etc.

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration / Accounting.

- Minimum of 5-7 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
