Accounting Clerk - Represented

Description

- Provides support to the group/department by performing a variety of daily accounting clerical duties.

- Provides administrative support to department as necessary and as required, which may include distribution of mail and preparing documents for scanning.

- Works under close/general supervision to perform semi-routing clerical/accounting duties.

- Verifies and enters data into Kronos time-entry system.

- This position is hourly nonexempt status, which means you are eligible for overtime pay.

Qualifications

- Able and willing to work on-site, in-person at the Valero Port Arthur Refinery, required.

- High school diploma or GED required.

- Minimum six months payroll experience preferred.

- Experience in SAP preferred.

- Experience in Kronos Timekeeping system preferred.

- Experience with Timekeeping/Data Entry preferred.

- Ability to read and interpret company policies, regulatory guidelines, and other work-related documentation.

- Ability to abide by confidentiality requirements when working with sensitive information, results, and communications.

- Skill in providing thorough, efficient, and effective customer service to individuals at all levels within the organization.

- Ability to accomplish work within required timelines, including short, long, and emergency timeframes.

- Ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple assignments to ensure completion of tasks within stated time requirements.

- Basic skill using Microsoft Office programs (i.e., Word and Excel).
