- Monitor Avalara sales tax software to ensure accurate collection and remittance of sales tax.
- Monitor and create fixed assets entries to ensure proper capitalization, depreciation, and disposal in accordance with accounting standards.
- Import and review payroll journal entries in NetSuite ERP system.
- Prepare and file annual personal property tax returns.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel to create pivot tables, custom sorts, xlookups, and other functions for data analysis and reporting.
- Monitor and analyze accounting records, financial reports, and statements for accuracy and completeness.
- Assist in preparing financial data and tracking trends.
- Assist in developing and implementing policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.
- Prepare other journal entries as seen fit under the direction of the Controller and Assistant Controller.
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and fiscal year-end closing processes.
- Assist in audit preparation.
- Accounting & Financial Analysis: Proficiency in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy in financial records.
- Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Effectively communicate with internal teams and management.
- Problem-Solving & Decision-Making: Assess financial information to make informed decisions and improve processes.
- Technical Proficiency: Experience with accounting software, bookkeeping systems, and Microsoft Excel.
- Time Management & Organization: Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high quality of work.
- Team Collaboration: Support and assist team members while fostering a positive work environment.
- Office-based position with standard working conditions.

- Occasional lifting of office materials (up to 15 lbs).- 2+ years of experience in accounting or a related financial role.
- Experience with financial software and reporting tools.
- Knowledge of NetSuite or similar ERP systems.
- Proficient Microsoft Excel knowledge.
