Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with proficiency in QuickBooks. This role is essential in maintaining accurate records, processing transactions, and supporting the overall financial operations of the organization. The Clerk will work closely with other departments to ensure compliance with financial regulations and assist in various administrative tasks.
- Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently, ensuring all financial records are up to date.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing and payment tracking.
- Assist in payroll management, ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing
- Ensure compliance with SWI accounting standards
- Analyze financial data and prepare reports when needed
- Maintain organized records of all transactions and assist with audits as required
- Proficiency in accounting principles including double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and general ledger accounting.
- Experience with QuickBooks and Excel.
- Knowledge of public accounting practices or non-profit accounting is a plus.
- Familiarity with tax experience and governmental accounting principles is advantageous.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate record keeping.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with colleagues across departments.
