Accounting Assistant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounting Assistant to support a finance team with daily accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will assist with accounts payable, data entry, record keeping, reconciliations, and general administrative duties. This role is perfect for someone who is organized, accurate, and eager to grow within an accounting or finance career path. This is a part time in office position.

Responsibilities:

Assist with accounts payable processing

Record financial transactions and ensure accuracy in the general ledger

Maintain and update accounting files and documentation

Generate reports, spreadsheets, and financial summaries as directed

Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy and proper approval

Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation

Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and data entry

Skills:

Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, Xero, or similar)

1+ year of accounting or bookkeeping experience

Familiarity with invoice processing and reconciliation procedures

Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn

Education:

High School or Associate

Experience:

1-4 years

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in accounting or related field

Basic knowledge of accounting principles

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and office software

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Excellent organizational and time-management skills

Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information

Strong communication skills and a customer-service mindset
