We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our dynamic accounting team. The successful candidate for this job is resourceful, a good problem solver and organized. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and a customer-focused mindset. This is not a routine data-entry role – you will play a critical part in ensuring financial accuracy, supporting purchasing and payables, and helping streamline accounting operations as we continue to grow.
- Enter and verify receipts of goods, invoices, cash receipts, and purchase orders.
- Reconcile pricing and quantity differences between PO’s, receipts, and invoices.
- Resolve discrepancies related to invoices and payments
- Support month-end postings and reconciliations.
- Collaborate with purchasing and operations teams to improve workflows.
- Support process improvements to handle increasing transaction volume efficiently.
- Provide phone support to customers and vendors and monitor customer accounts to identify and follow up on overdue payments.
- Responsible for processing new customer credit applications and track through final approval.
- Handle customer inquiries related to billing support and invoice requests.
- Provide prompt and courteous responses, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Data entry for weekly production counts, printing open orders on a weekly basis, assisting with shipping orders as needed, communicating with plant management on incoming shipments of inventory.
- Communicate any matters or concerns to janitorial company, answer incoming calls, sorting and distributing mail, and other duties as necessary.

Education:Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.

Experience:3-5 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience in a high-volume environment (manufacturing, distribution, or construction preferred).
