Accounting/Administrative Assistant

We are looking for accounting/administrative assistant to join our accounting team.

There is currently a team of 3 individuals; a main Accounting Manager who does bank reconciliations and financial record maintenance; an Accounts Payable administrator and an Accounts Receivables administrator. You would be joining them as the fourth team member, and providing support for AR and AP daily activities.

Your daily work activities will require you to be detail oriented, with the capacity to communicate and work collaboratively with other team members. The successful candidate will have strong written and verbal communication skills.

Previous experience with accounting matters is preferred, but we are ultimately looking for someone with the right attitude who will be a fit with us. We enjoy working together and would like you to enjoy working with us.

This is a full-time, permanent position and salary is commensurate with experience.

After three months of full-time employment, you may join our extended benefits plan.

Responsibilities

- Assist with collection efforts for overdue invoices (AR)

- Send vendor invoices to the appropriate manager for approval (AP)

- Check vendor invoices against issued Purchase Orders

- Note any discrepancy in Purchase Order totals and vendor invoice totals

- Assist with organizing staff expense reports

- Assist with auditing company Visa Statements to make sure all receipts have been submitted.

- Assist with downloading online invoices and statements

- Assist with sending remittance notifications to vendors

- Other administrative tasks that may arise

Qualifications

- Previous experience as an administrator is preferred

- Previous experience with accounting related tasks preferred

- Must be comfortable with Microsoft Office software, including Excel, Outlook and Teams.

Pay: $22.00-$27.00 per hour
