The Material Handler is responsible for safely and efficiently handling materials, including banding, wrapping, staging, and moving products using manual and powered equipment such as manual and electric pallet jacks. This role supports production and shipping operations to ensure materials are properly organized, secure, and ready for transport or processing.
- Band, wrap, or secure finished products according to company standards and safety guidelines.
- Move materials and products throughout the facility using pallet jacks (manual or electric).
- Load and unload materials from work areas, storage, or trucks as directed.
- Maintain accurate counts and labels on all materials handled.
- Ensure products are properly staged for shipping or further processing.
- Inspect materials and packaging for damage and report discrepancies to Supervisor.
- Keep work area clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
- Follow all company safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Assist in general warehouse duties as needed, including inventory and housekeeping.
- Work performed in a warehouse or production setting.
- Exposure to moving equipment, noise, and varying temperatures
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 1+ year of experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment preferred.- Ability to operate pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Basic understanding of safety and quality standards.
