Plan, coordinate, oversee, and perform all required operations to construct, install, maintain and repair a wide variety of plant equipment relating to PLC controls and electrical code. Automation and robotics experience is required.
- Evaluate, install and replace electrical components safely under applicable requirements (lockout/tagout, etc.) Plan, organize, and work to utilize skills, ability and experience of available work force to obtain most favorable cost, workmanship, and quality.
- Provide weekly updates to Maintenance Supervisor regarding PLC/controls projects.
- Install and replace bus duct disconnects to ensure safety of plant personnel and compliance with electrical code; replace lighting and change fuses in switch gear while equipment is engergized or near energized parts.
- Install, program, maintain, troubleshoot & repair automated control systems and their components, including PLCs and HMIs to ensure efficient and safe operation of industrial equipment.
- Inspect machinery or equipment to detect malfunctions and discuss machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance worker to diagnose problems and repair.
- Perform preventative maintenance on machinery/equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize production downtime.
- Maintain plant maintenance areas and equipment in a clean and orderly condition. Avoid and detect errors and report all unusual conditions to the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Perform tradesman duties and assist maintenance staff as required or directed.
