Welding Technician

Fitter/Welder

Pay for this job has a wide range depending on your experience and skill level.

Being a FITTER/WELDER entails many things, mainly:

- Ability to read blueprints / detail drawings

- Accurately assemble/build items from steel sheet metal, steel stock, or other shapes, using detailed blueprint drawings

- Use weld gun to stich weld constructions that only heavy machinery can move

- Setting weld machine to get proper fusion for a given situation

- Can perform a variety of welds in several positions

- Agile enough to crouch down or maneuverer yourself to get the best weld position

- Keeping a clean and organized work area

DWS Machine, Inc. Standards:

- AWS D1.1

- ASME

No existing weld certification is necessary. Weld certificates are typically only valid at the place of employment at the time of getting the certificate. DWS will certify our welders at the appropriate time if needed.

At least a few years experience is preferred!

Flexible schedule if you need time off for errands, business, etc. during the week.

High pay for applicants with experience and high skill level.
