Welder/Fabricator - Production

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various welding techniques and fabrication processes, with the ability to work effectively in a manufacturing environment. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to read blueprints and schematics to ensure high-quality production standards.

Duties

- Perform MIG, TIG, FCAW, and stick welding on various materials including sheet metal and tubing.

- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and machinery such as folders, press brake machines and lasers for fabrication tasks.

- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to understand project specifications.

- Assemble components according to specifications while adhering to ASME codes & standards.

- Conduct quality inspections of finished products using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.

- Operate cranes and forklifts safely while moving materials around the worksite.

- Engage in rigging activities as necessary for lifting heavy components.

- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency.

- Collaborate with team members on projects while demonstrating strong communication skills.

Skills

- Proven experience in sheet metal fabrication shop preferred.

- Proficient in various welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, and stick welding.

- Familiarity with fabrication processes including enclosure manufacturing and food service station manufacturing .

- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.

- Experience using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools.

- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.

- Competence in operating hand tools and power tools safely.

- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.

- Knowledge of assembly processes within manufacturing settings is advantageous.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
