Welder/Fabricator

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various welding techniques and fabrication processes, with the ability to read blueprints and schematics. This role requires a keen attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship, ensuring that all projects meet industry standards and specifications.

Responsibilities

- Perform MIG, TIG, and stick welding on various materials including sheet metal and ductwork.

- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project specifications.

- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and machinery such as press brake machines for fabrication tasks.

- Conduct assembly of components according to project requirements.

- Operate cranes and forklifts safely to move materials and finished products.

- Ensure compliance with ASME codes & standards during all fabrication processes.

- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols.

- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and quality standards.

Requirements

- Proven experience in construction site environments, particularly in fabrication and welding.

- Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, stick welding, and plasma cutting techniques.

- Familiarity with mechanical knowledge, basic math skills, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools.

- Experience with machining processes is a plus.

- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.

- Strong understanding of safety practices related to welding and fabrication work.

- Experience with rigging techniques for safe material handling is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $39.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
