Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Water Treatment Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in water treatment processes. This role involves operating and maintaining various water treatment systems, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations, and utilizing advanced technology for data collection and analysis. The Water Treatment Specialist will play a crucial role in maintaining the quality of water supply and ensuring efficient operation of treatment facilities.
Responsibilities
•Operate and maintain water treatment systems, including distributed control systems and logic controllers.
•Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety standards.
•Analyze water quality data and perform necessary adjustments to treatment processes as needed.
•Utilize heavy equipment operation skills for the maintenance and repair of treatment facilities.
•Collect data on system performance, water quality, and operational efficiency for reporting purposes.
•Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform repairs as necessary, including plumbing tasks.
•Collaborate with team members to implement best practices in water treatment operations.
•Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to water treatment processes.
Requirements
•Pick up and deliver product to customers as needed.
•Under general supervision, apply fertilizer and crop protection products. May require use of a high clearance sprayer or floater.
•Work with customers in a courteous and professional manner.
•Assist the sales staff in ensuring orders are correct and patron needs are met.
•Perform warehouse work to including driving loader, forklift, mechanics, and maintenance.
•Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations. To include but not limited to pre-trip and post-trip reporting, proper load securement and hours of service.
•Maintain cleanliness of vehicle(s) inside and out, and work environment.
•Complete and document daily maintenance inspections. Ensure proper equipment maintenance is completed including repairs, and preventive maintenance.
•Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimal Qualifications
•Must meet minimum age requirement
•Ability to read, write and communicate in English and understand highway traffic signs and signals
•HazMat a plus but not required.
Additional Qualifactions
•Ability to work additional hours, be available for overnight stays and occasional weekends to meet business demands
•High School diploma or GED preferred
•Hazmat, Tanker, and Air Brake endorsements preferred
•Customer experience preferred
•Bulk liquid, Pressure trailer, or Forklift experience preferred
•Pre-employment screening is based on the job requirements and industry guidelines and may or may not be required for the position. If required, selected candidates must pass pre-employment screenings to include all or a combination of drug, criminal, motor vehicle check, physical requirements and FMSCA Clearinghouse.
Physical Requirements
•Ability to climb rail cars, ladders, stairs and bins, and into back of trailer
•Ability to work in dust and adverse weather conditions and temperatures
