Water Distribution Supervisor is responsible for providing leadership and direction to assigned staff who operate and maintain, and plan and schedule work in the water distribution system. Ability to assess concerns related to quality in distribution systems and use judgment under difficult circumstances. Consequences of decisions have a direct impact on public health.
This position has formal supervisory responsibilities over other employees.
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate daily work and projects. Provide detailed instruction and training in job duties and requirements including the use of various tools and equipment, SOPs,computersand software applications.
- Performs follow-ups and inspection of operating and maintenance work, and ensure the appropriate job methods, tools, and equipment are applied.
- Ability to utilize on the job technology including mobile computers and/or tablets, electronic timekeeping systems, computerized maintenance management systems, associated mobile applications, RDA, Project Tracker, electronic cut slips, or other provided devices.
- Perform inspections,operate, and perform minor maintenance on equipment at distribution facilities as well as coach, train, and develop employees.
- Assist in the development of standard operating procedures, emergency operations manuals, and facility inspection programs.
- Train and ensure assigned staff are compliant with a variety of safety issues including confined space entry procedures, hot work permits, lead paint, and asbestos regulations, excavation trenching, shoring, and other compliance methods used.
- Trains and mentors Leads/Acting Leads.
- Perform safety inspections of assigned facilities to ensure construction and job site are in compliance with safety hazards.
- Carry out the department’s Safety program through job performance and attendance at schedule safety meetings.
- May be required to perform on call duty, work shifts, weekends, holidays and overtime as directed, and work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
- Must be able to perform safety sensitive functions.

: responsible for providing leadership and direction to assigned staff who plan, schedule, and coordinate construction,maintenance and repair work in the Section. This work group also has responsibility for new equipment startup and commissioning, operator training on new equipment and integration of new assets into CMMS.
Hybrid-This position offers a hybrid schedule working a minimum of two days in the office in the Denver Metro Area.
- Hiring Range: $47.44 - $53.76 hourly
- Full Pay Range: $41.49 - $63.92 hourly

- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum 6 years of related work experience.
- Any equivalent combination of certifications, education, or experience that provides the required skills,knowledgeand abilities for the position.
- Colorado Water Distribution Class 2 Certificate
- Must be able to possess and maintain a valid Class ‘R’ Colorado driver’s license and have a satisfactory driving record at time of hire.
