Operates wastewater treatment system within compliance of authority having jurisdiction.
Performs maintenance on water lines, transfer pumps, chemical feed pumps, cooling tower controllers, pH probes, ORP probes, telemetry controllers, air lines, tank mixers, bulk chemical tanks, and filter press
Ensures discharge wastewater is compliant with authority having jurisdiction.
Ensures water quality by testing pH, iron levels, bacteria, conductivity, chemical feed rates, monthly/daily samples, chlorides, daily flows, sludge removal, polymer efficacy
Exposure to loud noise levels, dust, heat in boiler room and cold and various chemicals while in plant area (lubricants, cutting fluids, drawing oils). Stooping, reaching, climbing ladders and stairs. Safety shoes, earplugs and safety glasses are a requirement to be worn at all times while in the plant.

Experience: wastewater treatment, chemicals, cooling towers, pump repair, electric motors, telemetry controllers, electrical circuits, hydraulics, plumbing, and pneumatics
High school or GED. Previous experience with chemicals would be helpful. Some computer experience helpful.
Ability to use various hand tools, pH meter, and water hardness tester.
