Waste Management Engineering Intern Summer 2026

As a Waste Management Engineering intern, you will work on a variety of technical and engineering assignments.

You will report to the Waste Management Senior Manager and be located at our Cranberry location. This is a paid, full-time hybrid summer position.

- Prepare engineering documents (calculations, system and operational descriptions, licensing documents, and procurement specifications)

- Development/management of system/facility requirements for waste management, equipment sizing calculations, support of process optimization initiatives

- Collaboration with drafting to develop system diagrams (flow, instrumentation & control, general arrangement & layout)

Qualifications

- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical or chemical engineering

- Minimum GPA of 3.0

- Complete Sophomore year of college

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The hourly rate for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $22.69 to $27.50 per hour.
