Note: This is an onsite role based out of our service center in Beaumont, TX and the surrounding areas. Candidates will need to live, or relocate to, one of the following areas in Texas: Beaumont, Dayton, Silsbee, Winnie, Orange, Port Author, or Woodville. Relocation assistance is available for this posting. This position will require 50-75% of the time. Job Summary/Purpose
The Supv, Warehouse Operations is accountable/responsible for the efficient, cost managed and effective supervision of warehouse activities including storing, receiving, cycle counting, picking and shipping of materials from the Entergy state warehouse supporting Distribution Operations. Responsible for the management of the staff, inventory controls, and contractors that may include non-exempt, bargaining unit staff and contract oversight for labor and logistics. The role will manage supply chain and logistics functions, which may include, but are not limited to production planning, inventory control, outsourcing, vendor selection, and distribution. The position creates integrated processes among internal functions such as operations, purchasing and logistics, and outside suppliers, focuses resources on continuous improvement of the movement of materials through various production processes, and establishes key performance metrics and benchmarks relating to supply chain planning/forecasting to measure actual performance against goals on a regular basis.
The Supv, Warehouse Operations will work closely with all customers and services centers to ensure acceptable service levels and emergency response. They will be responsible for development and sustaining of key metrics to ensure operational efficiencies.
