Warehouse Supervisor

Purpose
Virtus Renewables is seeking a reliable and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of our warehouse and material handling functions in support of our growing renewable energy projects across the U.S. This role is key to ensuring accurate inventory control, safe work practices, and efficient coordination of materials for solar and battery energy storage system (BESS) projects.
The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and skilled in supervising teams, enforcing safety protocols, and maintaining supply chain accuracy. Experience in construction, logistics, or renewable energy warehousing is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations
•Oversee all warehouse activities including receiving, storing, inventory management, and shipping of materials and equipment.
•Maintain an organized, clean, and safe warehouse environment that complies with company and regulatory safety standards.
•Ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials to project sites, minimizing delays and disruptions.
Inventory Control
•Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels through cycle counts and regular audits.
•Use inventory management systems to track material movement, generate reports, and identify discrepancies.
•Coordinate with procurement and project managers to ensure material needs are forecasted and fulfilled appropriately.
Team Supervision
•Lead, train, and supervise warehouse personnel to ensure high levels of productivity and morale.
•Assign daily tasks, monitor performance, and provide coaching and feedback to team members.
•Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
Safety and Compliance
•Enforce all safety protocols, including the use of PPE, safe material handling, and equipment operation.
•Conduct regular safety briefings, inspections, and ensure OSHA compliance at all times.
•Address and report any safety incidents, hazards, or violations promptly and effectively.
Logistics Coordination
•Collaborate with logistics partners and internal teams to manage inbound and outbound shipments.
•Coordinate material transfers between locations and assist with field delivery planning.
•Track deliveries, manage shipping documentation, and resolve any freight or transportation issues.
Required Skills and Expertise
•Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of warehouse or logistics supervisory experience, preferably in the renewable energy, construction, or industrial sectors.
•Leadership: Proven ability to lead and develop teams, delegate tasks, and promote a safe, productive work environment.
•Organizational Skills: Strong time management and multitasking abilities, with a focus on efficiency and accuracy.
•Technical Proficiency: Experience using warehouse or inventory management software and standard office applications (Excel, Outlook).
•Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, operate forklifts or pallet jacks, and work on your feet for extended periods.
Education and Certifications
•Education: Associate degree or technical training in logistics, supply chain, or a related field is a plus.
•Certifications: Forklift certification required; OSHA 10/30 certification preferred.
•Licensure: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
