About the Role
The Materials Handling Supervisor will oversee and coordinate the work of employees who transport materials, supplies, and finished products.
Duties & Key Responsibilities
•Maintains inventory, which includes keeping records in an inventory management system, acquiring additional stock as required, and distributing items from stock to fulfill requisitions.
•Ensures safe operation of equipment used to move and transport materials to and from the storage areas of the facility.
•Organizes and coordinates activities and staff schedules, ensuring fulfillment goals are met and that shipments are timely, accurate, and undamaged.
•Collaborates with managers and other departments to develop and modify materials handling processes and procedures.
•Prepares all required reports and correspondence.
•Identifies, documents, and implements opportunities for continuous improvement.
•Performs other job-related duties as necessary or assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:

•Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
•Must be dependable and extremely trustworthy.
•Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
•Participates in reviewing candidates, hiring and training all personnel related to Material and Warehouse Activities
•Provides leadership, communication, and coaching to employees; cultivates a motivated employee environment of trust, teamwork, accountability, and self-confidence.
•Oversees the daily workflow and scheduling of the Materials Handling department.
•Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
•Works with HR on discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
Education and Experience:
•Associate degree in business or related field or comparable experience required.
•At least three years of manufacturing material management experience in a related area with some supervisory experience, preferred.
Physical Requirements:
•Prolonged periods sitting, standing, walking, and performing repetitive tasks.
•Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at a time.
Work Environment
May work in various settings at the Maverick Power facilities, in offices, in multiple shops, and in commercial buildings. Maintaining the same position or posture while performing tasks and sitting for prolonged periods.
