Warehouse Associate/ Forklift Operator

Structural Materials Inc. is a local concrete and construction supply company seeking an energetic, motivated individual to join our Bismarck warehouse crew.

As an Warehouse Associate, you’ll play a key role in keeping our daily operations running smoothly. Your work will help ensure customer orders are picked accurately, deliveries are handled efficiently, and our warehouse and yard stay organized, safe, and ready for business. A significant part of this role includes operating a forklift throughout the warehouse and yard.

You’ll also be part of the team that supports our Will-Call customers. This means working directly with customers, pulling their orders, and loading products for pickup. Our warehouse is a fast-paced, hands-on environment that values strong organization, clear communication, and working as a team.

Job duties:

- Reading packing slips

- Filling orders

- Loading and unloading trucks

- Organizing warehouse shelves and yard

- Assisting Customers

- Preparing pallets for transport

- Driving forklift

- Checking in shipments

- General warehouse maintenance & cleaning

- Assisting all teammates

- Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

- Warehouse experience or similar of 2 years preferred but not required.

- Forklift experience preferred but not required.

- Open weekday availability, Monday through Friday, 7am to 5pm.

- Availability to work flexible hours (potential overtime), including the ability to work Saturdays on a scheduled rotation from 8am-noon (usually 5-7 Saturdays from April-November).

- Physically able to lift up to 80lbs.

- Physically able to walk or stand for 2hrs or more at a time.

- Strong communication skills

- Ability to work independently and/or as part of a team.

- Comfortable working in a fast paced, detail orientated environment

- Must have a clean driving record.

- Valid Driver’s license
