- Lead, direct, and control Omya regional's financial resources to maintain the short- and long-term financial health and stability of the regional business.
- Direct all regional financial functions so that financial transactions, policies, and procedures meet the organization's short- and long-term business objectives and are conducted in accordance with regulations, accounting principles, and standards.
- Being a key business and sparring partner, drive and instill a performance culture across the region, together with the President OMP or President OSD and Regional Management Team—pushing for ambitious targets aligned with overall company strategy and increasing transparency for all relevant stakeholders.
- Work closely with OS&S and support process optimization targets.
- Drive the performance culture, steer the financial direction, and integrate financial expertise with business strategy for the Mining & Production Unit in respective region.
- Align OMP financial goals for the region with overall business unit objectives and ensure financial targets are achieved.
- Increasingly integrate business partnering into overall business unit operations with strong dedication to strategic planning.
- Serve as the preferred financial business partner of choice, proactively anticipating trends and driving forward-looking strategies.
- Collaborate with OS&S, which is dedicated to the region, and direct the Finance & Controlling and Procurement resources reporting solid line to VP Finance OMP of respective region.
- Establish and oversee application of Omya Group standards, policies, and directives.
- Establish regional internal control audit process improvement plan; communicate and follow up audit findings mitigation actions with Regional Management Team.
- Oversee and direct all Finance and Controlling (profitability analysis/decision support/etc.) processes for Omya and the region regarding Mining & Production business activities, ensuring proper application of global Omya standards.
- Oversee regional and consolidated reporting requirements and monitor audit recommendations (management letter and internal audit reports).
- Manage financial audit reviews and communicate outcomes to the Group.
- Oversee all aspects of Finance & Controlling activities related to forecasting and business planning affecting the Mining & Production Unit.
- Provide the Mining & Production Regional Management Team with advice on financial implications of business activities.
- Lead support to business management with financial expertise throughout the forecasting process.
- Oversee and monitor tax aspects in relation to legal entities belonging to respective unit and region.
- Direct optimization of financing structure (debt, dividend, equity, tax) and Net Working Capital. Ensure regional financing needs are covered with proper structure.
- Oversee and monitor cash and cash equivalents, optimize cash management and Group netting for all Mining & Production legal entities in respective region.
- Provide guidance regarding benchmarking and best practices to the region’s Omya Mining & Production companies.
- Lead financial due diligence for ongoing and new Mergers & Acquisition activities.
- Analyze potential targets to acquire.
- Lead corporate project and functional strategy implementation for Finance & Procurement in respective region.
- Collaborate closely with Finance GBS and Service Center teams to ensure regional needs are properly managed and business processes executed in alignment with regional business objectives.

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in finance, Business Administration or related; Masters Degree will be a plus.
We are looking for someone with a minimum of 12 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
The candidate should have strong exposure to finance processes and treasury functions, along with expertise in standard costing using SAP. At least 5 years of experience in international strategic business and P&L controlling is required to navigate complex inter-relationships within a matrix structure.
General management experience is also valued, as it contributes to leading broader business requirements.
A deep understanding of business processes and organizational structures is essential. The candidate should demonstrate strong initiative, leadership, and management capabilities. A manufacturing controller mindset is critical—someone who can identify opportunities for improvement, ensure compliance, and act as a finance business partner to operations.

The ideal candidate must be willing to travel up to 30%, including occasional trips lasting up to two weeks throughout North and South America.
International experience, including having lived and worked in different countries, is highly desirable.
This position will require relocation to our Region Americas HQ in Mason, OH.
