Your Role: Utility System Planning Engineer I
We are seeking a dependable System Engineer to join Ampirical. This role is part of our Cappstone Energy Group team, which focuses on delivering engineering services that support the safe and reliable operation of utility infrastructure. As a System Engineer, you will work on engineering studies & projects in support of utilities across the southeast. The position requires strong attention to detail and the willingness to learn the various aspects of distribution utilities.
What You’ll Do
- Assist senior engineers during system planning & design projects
- Conduct review of field data & maintain data sets on behalf of the Client
- Obtain knowledge in system planning & system protection
- Acquire an understanding of electric utility operations & work plans
- Develop the ability to utilize GIS tools for engineering purposes
- Respond to Client inquiries in a timely & professional manner
- Follow all safety procedures, including PPE requirements and traffic/work zone protocols
- Maintain a professional attitude with coworkers, supervisors, and the public
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited university
- No prior experience required; training provided
- Strong computer skills with the ability to learn new software tools
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
