Job Introduction

Starting at $23.33/hour, Competitive Benefits Package. Full Time - 7AM to 3PM

United States - WI - Eden

Graymont is one of the largest lime and limestone producers in North America. The Eden Plant is a very well-established operation in Wisconsin with long term commitments for community and environmental stewardship.

The Utility will work in the maintenance department doing a variety of tasks. Utility is also the float for other positions that need covering in the plant from bagging to truck loading so this will require working other shift hours.

Responsibilities:

- Comply with all safety rules and standard safety practices.

- Must be able to train and qualify for all duties of the Systems Utility.

- Must possess the ability to detect and respond to safety hazards and equipment malfunctions in accordance with safety rules and standards.

- Work in various environments, including weather variations and exposure to fine lime/limestone dust (personal protective equipment is supplied by Graymont)

- Should be capable of doing minor mechanical repairs, such as changing V-belts, limit switches, maintain belt skirting, and hydraulic hoses.

- Must be computer literate.

- Will be required to maintain and keep all areas clean so equipment will work without interferences from buildup.

- Will be required to do daily inspections and minor maintenance including, but not limited to, monitoring of oil levels and greasing of equipment.

- Will be required to maintain dust control when needed.

- Will be required to do all duties as assigned by a supervisor.

- Duties will require lifting up to 50 lbs., some repetitive motions, climbing of ladders.

- The ability to operate all mobile equipment efficiently and safely, including remote operation of the shuttle wagon for railcar loading is desired. Training will be provided.

- Will train to cover several different positions within the plant.

Qualifications:

- Current Driver’s License is a strong asset.

- Over 18 years of age

- High School Diploma/GED Equivalent Desired

- Physically fit and ability to work shifts.

- Self-motivated, goal oriented, and excellent communication skills

- Be able to think on your feet and troubleshoot/problem solve.

- Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem-solving ability.

- Ability to adapt well to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy.

- Mechanical experience an asset

- Experience working in industrial environments preferred.

- Must possess the ability to read and write the English language to effectively interpret manuals, regulations, reports; must have the ability to complete various types of paperwork.

- Pre-employment drug screening and back-ground check required.
