Utility Collector

Now hiring for a Full Time Utility Collections Technician in Toronto, ON to start ASAP. Day shift hours, M-F. Outdoor work, training and uniforms will be provided. Must have a reliable vehicle. If hired, need to provide a clean Criminal Background Check and clean Drivers Abstract. Position pays by either a daily flat rate or by piece rate depending on the season, with average earnings of $25+/hour through the piece rate.

Job Duties include:

- Drop notices at various sites

- Site visits at various locations

- Disconnects of residential and commercial meters

- Reconnects

- Driving from site to site in the city of Toronto

- Use of a handheld tablet

- Various collection duties as assigned

- Use and care of all PPE supplied by Olameter reporting any loss or damage of PPE to the RFM

- All other duties as assigned in accordance with the specific project.

Skills Required:

- EUSA and standard First Aid/CPR A certified, course will be provided

- Reliable vehicle, a valid driver’s license with current vehicle insurance.

- Ability to provide a clean Driver’s Abstract and Criminal Background Check (CBC).

- General computer knowledge.

- Good hand-eye coordination.

- Proven customer relation skills.

- Has access to confidential client information.

- This position requires working outdoors in all weather environments including rain, snow, extreme cold, or high heat. Requires travel by car; may be exposed to road related hazards. Requires walking up to 5 miles daily which includes walking at a brisk pace, climbing stairs and walking on unpaved/rough terrain areas.
