We are looking for a Utility Billing Processor to join our Billing Department. In this role, you’ll spend most of your day on the computer, reviewing utility data, preparing billing statements, and helping make sure our clients receive clear and accurate bills. You’ll work closely with your teammates and coordinators, with plenty of support and training provided.

- Process billing statements and invoices accurately and on time.
- Review billing information and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy.
- Verify meter readings, apply the correct utility rates, and calculate charges using RUBS (Ratio Utility Billing System).
- Prepare clear and accurate bills that include customer details, charge totals, and payment due dates.
- Research and resolve billing discrepancies or errors in a timely manner.
- Maintain customer accounts by creating new accounts, updating information, and closing accounts each month.
- Work with your assigned service coordinator to document and resolve any issues with meter readings.
- Answer billing-related questions from clients and provide clear explanations of policies when needed.
- Assist with month-end reports and other billing-related documentation.
- Enter data into billing systems quickly and accurately.
- Respond to inquiries promptly, aiming for same-day replies whenever possible.
- Communicate with teammates through email, chat, and weekly meetings to keep work flowing smoothly.
- Provide general support to the billing team and take on additional tasks as assigned by the Billing Lead or Manager.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Comfortable working on a computer all day (Excel, data entry, and email experience are important).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
- Ability to stay organized and meet deadlines.
- Previous office, billing, or administrative experience is helpful but not required — we will train the right candidate!
