GETCHOICE! is looking for a Billing Support Specialist who will be responsible for contacting utility vendors on behalf of our clients to register accounts online, request missing invoices, and negotiate extensions on accounts.
The Billing Support role requires good time management, clear communication, and the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Contact utility vendors to obtain copies of missing invoices; this may lead to additional actions such as updating mailing addresses, credentials for online portals, and possibly requesting payment extensions on the account
- Navigate utility vendors’ websites to enroll accounts for receipt
- Document and escalate accounts that need to be reviewed or resolved by the client management team and/or clients
- Process Improvement and Cross-Functional Collaboration: Identify areas of inefficiency or system errors, assist in identifying trends in utility vendor behavior, and provide recommendations for improvements
- Preferred experience with phone-based customer support
- Strong customer service and written communication skills
- Strong computer skills, including the ability to navigate and toggle between multiple systems, programs, and windows at the same time
- Willingness to learn new technologies
