SUMMARY
The Utility Electrical Engineer is responsible for the preventive maintenance on equipment used in manufacturing process to ensure the successful execution of production activities all in accordance with the high industry standards and within manufacturing timescales.
- Ensure cleanliness of machine and machine components by making use of hose, air guns, IPA, cloths, vacuum and other appliances.
- Disassemble machines and take off parts for replacement or repair by using chain falls, hand tools and jacks.
- Examine or carry out tasks on broken machine parts and identify defective parts or give recommendations to supervisors on repair requirements.
- Replace, fix or realign machine parts and accessories in line with production specifications.
- Application of adhesives, lubricants or other materials to machines or their parts as well as other equipment in accordance with the procedures stated.
- Put machine parts together after accomplishing maintenance and repair work.
- Take off hardened material from machines or machine parts by utilizing power and hand tools jack and sledgehammer, abrasive and other appliances.
- Follow electrical blueprints and schematics.
- Interpret PLC ladder logic programs.
- Follow local, state, and national electric codes.
- Have strong knowledge of electrical components and motor control.
- Have strong knowledge of HVAC and VRV systems.
- Adhere to the policies and procedures of Hanwha Q CELLS.
- Perform other duties and special projects, as assigned by management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
- 1-2 years of cognitive and vocational experience in handling machine and machine parts
- 1-2 years knowledge of mechanical maintenance
- 1-2 years electrical experience if applicable
- Critical thinking ability to troubleshoot and detect malfunctioning electrical components
- Discipline to execute tasks without procrastination
- Excellent time management skills and execution of all orders and/or demands in a timely manner
- Ability to handle basic tools
- Learn how to operate the BMS System, Dock Door/Leveler Maintenance, Dust Collector Maintenance, Exhaust Fan maintenance, Humidifiers and Highspeed Doors.
- Strong knowledge of safety precautions
- Strong knowledge of motor controls, photosensors, conveyor systems etc.
- Strong Knowledge in troubleshooting AC/DC Voltage
- Experience reading blueprints and technical drawings
- Must have strong knowledge of electrical test equipment (Multimeters, Clamp Meters, Process Calibrators, etc.)
- Able to tolerate a fast-paced work environment in areas that are not climate controlled
- Assertive, able to cope with pressure, a team player
- Able to stand and walk in the production area throughout the workday.
- Able to lift to 50 pounds without restriction.
- Reaching, pushing, pulling, or lifting as required within limits set by Hanwha Q CELLS USA, Inc.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Experience with factory automation, i.e., robotics, or complex servo-controlled systems.
- Be able to work voluntarily and creatively and constantly improve your competences.
- Stay responsible for job related problems and maintain job ownership.
- Fluent in both Korean and English.
