This is a contract role through Magnit for Consumers Energy in Jackson, Michigan. This role is onsite.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct BVLOS drone-in-a-box operations from our Drone Operations Center.

- Operate UAS for routine inspections of utility infrastructure such as power lines, pipelines, and substations.

- Conduct pre-flight checks and ensure all equipment is in working order.

- Collect and report data on infrastructure conditions.

- Assist in maintaining UAS equipment and performing minor repairs.

- Follow safety protocols and regulatory requirements during operations.

Experience:

- Basic knowledge of UAS operation and maintenance.

- Ability to interpret and follow flight plans.

- Strong attention to detail for data collection and reporting.

- Good communication skills for reporting findings to supervisors.

- Basic understanding of safety and regulatory compliance.

- High School Diploma or GED and FAA Part 107 License Required.

- Associate’s degree in aviation, engineering, or a related field preferred.

Hourly Pay Rate Range (dependent on location, experience, expectation)

- The pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay for this position is: $25.00/hour - $32.00/hour W-2.
