This is a contract role through Magnit for Consumers Energy in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This role is Remote.

Responsibilities:

- Manage UAS operations for large-scale projects and specialized inspections for the west side of the lower peninsula of Michigan.

- Develop and implement advanced UAS operation strategies.

- Supervise and support mid-level and junior UAS pilots.

- Conduct risk assessments and ensure high safety standards.

- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to integrate UAS data into workflows.

Experience:

- Expert knowledge of UAS systems and their applications in utility operations.

- Strong leadership and management skills.

- Advanced data analysis and interpretation abilities.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

- Comprehensive understanding of regulatory frameworks and compliance.

- Bachelor’s degree in aviation, engineering, or a related field.

- Advanced UAS certification and specialized training in UAS operations management.

- Continuous professional development in UAS technology and regulatory updates.

Flight Hours of Experience:

- Minimum of 200 flight hours with UAS, including leadership roles in UAS operations.

Hourly Pay Rate Range (dependent on location, experience, expectation)

- The pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay for this position is: $34.00/hour - $42.00/hour W-2.
