Your Impact in This Role

As a Truck Driver DOT, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

- Operate trucks in compliance with local, state and company policies

- Perform truck, trailer and container inspections.

- Deliver loads to proper locations and plant locations.

- Inspect inbound loads at supplier locations.

- Load/Unload a dump trailer.

- Inspect outbound loads.

- Load /Unload a roll off container.

- Drive dump truck on SMI property.

- Ensure that trucks are kept clean and maintained at all times, perform truck maintenance, as required

- Complete and maintain driving and haul log sheets on a trip basis, as required.

- Wear appropriate site specific personal protective equipment (PPE), as required.

- Understand and adhere to all company operating procedures and company safety policies.

- Any other related duties, as assigned by their supervisor.

What You Bring to the Table

To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following.

- Must have CDL Class A license

- High School diploma or GED preferred.

- Experience operating powered industrial vehicles preferred

- Glass processing knowledge, preferred.

- Understand and follow specific oral instructions.
