Truck Driver

Objective:

This responsible for safe and efficient delivery of Martin Stone Quarries, Inc. stone products to residential, commercial, and industrial sites. Delivery trucks are tri-axle dump trucks.

Responsibilities:

- Prioritizes safety, then quality, followed by production

- Ensures a safe work environment for self and others at all times.

- Communicates effectively and timely with Dispatcher and other staff- Maintain accurate cash.

- Maintain accurate Company and DOT reports

- Establish win-win relationships with customers to minimize problems and encourage good business relationships

- Ensure truck is clean, tidy and organized at all times

- Trains and coaches other employees when assigned

Technical Qualifications:

- Must possess a commercial driver license, preferably Class A

- Must possess a clean driving record

- Knowledge of products and industry terminology

Required Competencies & Skills:

- Must be safety-oriented and exhibit safe work habits

- Punctual and reliable; good attendance required

- Good communication skills – verbal and listening

- Detail-oriented team-player

- Positive, courteous, and helpful approach

- Self-motivated and eager to learn new skills

Physical Requirements & Conditions:

- Willing to work overtime and weekends as needed

- Must be able to pass pre-employment physical/drug/alcohol test

- Must be willing to successfully complete paid training program

Education and Work Experience:

- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
