Position Summary

We are currently seeking a Traveling GPS Technician to join our team in

Reno, NV

! Responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and support of GPS tracking systems across a fleet of vehicles and equipment. This role involves frequent travel to various job sites and regional offices to ensure GPS systems are functioning optimally.

What You'll Do Key Responsibilities

- Install GPS tracking devices on fleet vehicles and heavy equipment.

- Test and verify proper functionality of GPS units post-installation.

- Diagnose and repair GPS hardware and connectivity issues in the field.

- Travel to multiple locations across regions to perform on-site service and support.

- Maintain accurate records of installations, service calls, and equipment status.

- Provide technical support and training to field personnel on GPS usage and troubleshooting.

- Perform firmware updates and system calibrations as needed.

- Coordinate with fleet management and IT teams to ensure data accuracy and system integration.

- Manage inventory of GPS units, tools, and installation supplies.

- Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.

What You'll Bring

Qualifications

- Experience with GPS systems, vehicle electronics, or telematics preferred.

- Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with vehicle electrical systems.

- Ability to travel extensively, including overnight stays.

- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
