YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:
Reporting to the Coordinator - Training, you will be part of the Training Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
•Participate and assist in daily morning meeting with the training team;
•Deliver training programs related to Health & Safety, equipment and processes;
•Plan and organize employee training and evaluations with the concerned departments;
•Regularly follow-up on the employees’ performance by setting up meetings with the concerned departments;
•Assist with required evaluations of the mine operators (evaluation for candidate selection, assessment for class change, evaluation for employee promotion);
•Ensure a thorough verification, application, and development of training content based on procedures, rules and regulations;
•Work in accordance with training standards established within the company;
•Track and update employee training data by using the different training platforms;
•Document and provide information to be shared with the cross-shift and supervisor.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
•A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Trainer in a similar industrial environment (Mining experience would be an asset);
•Must have a good understanding and knowledge of operations on underground mining equipment;
•Experience working in a multicultural environment;
•Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team;
•Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office software, especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint;
•Strong ability to effectively communicate in English (Oral and written).
Your Work Schedule
•Schedule: 14 days of work, followed by 14 days for transportation and rest; flights departing from all communities of the Kivalliq region, Mirabel or Val-d’Or, Quebec.
