YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:

Reporting to the Supervisor – Underground Mine, you will be part of the Mining Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.

Your responsibilities

•

Operate grader equipment underground;

•

Perform daily equipment inspections;

•

Inspect the working environment by scaling rocks;

•

Ensure health and safety requirements are met;

•

Operate other underground equipment, including the scoop;

•

Obtain certification on other equipment associated to the production category as required.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

•

High School Diploma;

•

NAC Certification or DEP in Mineral Extraction, or equivalent;

•

Proven experience as a Grader Operator;

•

Minimum of 4000 hours of experience on graders;

•

Valid approval letter under the explosives regulations or equivalent, such as explosive permit;

•

Underground certification or equivalent, such as Mining Modules and Common Core are considered an asset;

•

Mining engineering plan reading skills;

•

Certification on other equipment in the production category is considered an asset;

•

Possess the physical requirements to perform the job;

•

Experience working in a multicultural environment;

•

Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team;

•

Strong ability to effectively communicate in English (Oral and written).

Note that the official working language at our Nunavut operations is English.

Your Work Schedule:

•

Schedule: 14 days of work, followed by 14 days for transportation and rest;

•

Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides charter flights to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
