The Trainer is responsible for the development of field staff to ensure that DWS standards are met, and staffing needs are achieved. The primary responsibility of this position is to develop, lead, and instruct employees during New Hire Orientation Courses bi-weekly. The position will be office based allowing the trainer to engage with crew members upon hire and continuously throughout their careers at Deep Well Services. In addition to the primary task, the trainer will support the Training Manager in any task related to the execution of DWS’ strategic talent/training plan.

Key Responsibilities
•Develop, lead, instruct and update New Hire Orientation / Roughneck Course Material to provide training for applicable staff upon hire while assisting in the preparation and recordkeeping of course documentation.
•Assist Competency and Training Department staff manage the DWS Competency Program in a way that facilitates the development of field personnel to meet company objectives.
•Assist with the development and implementation of the in-house technical training programs and any other training initiatives developed to include development of Paycor Learnings and Learn to Win Training Topics providing a means of continuous learning.
•Conduct field visits to review field employee competency levels and acquire feedback from supervisors, crews, and customers.
•Manage distribution and completion of new hire assessments, as well as competency checklist completion. Assist in scheduling and proctoring written competency examinations as required.
•Travel to meetings with customers and community groups to promote DWS external brand when required.
•Interact with various stakeholders in a professional and respectful manner to maintain and develop customer satisfaction while providing training for employees in both the field and classroom setting and ensure employee understanding of applicable rules and regulations, including customer required orientations.
•Assist Training Manager with tracking of IADC compliance for competency program.
•Provide feedback to operations team on potential quality assurance issues and rectify concerns in a timely manner.
•Conduct field visits as needed to evaluate competency levels of all DWS personnel while promoting the competency program and internal growth.
•Provide support & assistance at the job site as required.
•Lead by example and reinforce the DWS Culture of Excellence assisting in the management of field mentoring between positions and field supervision.
•Communicate top-management decisions throughout organization as an internal spokesperson for corporate messages.
•Provide field support for various initiatives including, but not limited to SQPs, JSAs, H.E.A.D.S.U.P, BBS and Stop Work.
•Work with dispatch and operations on placement of personnel to best meet both training and quality assurance needs.
•Participate in the scheduled operations call and supervisor call.
Skills & Abilities
•High school diploma or GED. Bachelor’s Degree in Safety or related field preferred.
•3+ years of safety management or safety focused oilfield experience.
•Must successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
•Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license, meet minimum driving requirements for company insurance purposes and successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
Qualifications
•PEC Safeland Instructor, First Aid/CPR, Smith Defensive Driving certifications strongly desirable
•Experience with Microsoft Office Applications preferred
