Role Overview

The Mortgage Processor Team Lead is responsible for managing and driving mortgage loan pipelines for both Wholesale and Correspondent channels, ensuring efficiency, adherence to SLAs, and exceptional customer service. This role involves overseeing staff, assisting in performance evaluations, training new team members, and providing requested reports to senior management.

Essential Duties: In addition to related job duties as assigned, this position will:

+ Ensure the Following SLAs Are Met:

- Assign any loan not automatically assigned to a processor within 1 business day of being received into processing.

- Monitor workload and reassign files as needed within 1 business day of being received into processing. Coordinate with the Director of TPO Processing if reassignment is necessary.

- Ensure initial order outs are completed within 1 business day of the processor being assigned the file in the Approved With Conditions Underwriting Status.

- Ensure the processor follows up no later than 2 business days after the initial request for all ordered items without a clearly noted future due date.

- Ensure the processor submits the loan to underwriting within 24-48 hours of being resubmitted by our Business Partners.

- Ensure the processor requests the CD within 1 business day of receipt of the minimum requirements.

- Ensure the processor uploads documentation received from the Business Partner or a third party to Encompass, reviews them for accuracy, and updates Encompass within 1 business day.

- Ensure the processor submits for CTC review within 1 business day of receiving all PTDs from the Business Partner.

+ Coach staff on current policies and procedures. + Train new team members. + Set goals for team members and help them achieve them. + Require OT from individual team members as needed. + Manage staffing levels and approve PTO, ensuring necessary coverage. + Notify Sales when staff are out and follow coverage procedures to ensure seamless processing when assigned processors are out of the office. + Collaborate with Sales and Business Partners to obtain necessary documentation and information. + Maintain an “open-door” phone policy attempting to answer all incoming calls and return unanswered calls and emails within three hours. + Attend weekly pipeline meetings with Sales. + Share pipeline reports with senior management as needed.
