Job Summary
Consists of managing day to day RTMs facility operations and personnel under the direction of the LQF Operations Shift Supervisor, LQF Operations Superintendent and Production Manager.
Duties/Responsibilities
•Participate in Risk Assessments
•Participate in Root Cause Analysis
•Ensure all direct reports have a knowledge of the Operations Management System
Essential Functions
•Responsible for all Regas operational activities during the shift; Supervise operators’ activities for unloading/loading, BOG Management operations and coordinate interaction between the various functions
•Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental and health requirements on the shift
•Conduct routine audits of the Permit to Work System, Task Management SystemCoordinate actions between various functions
•Ensure product quality specifications and delivery volume requirements are met as per Com-Ops Team during ship loading
•Troubleshoot operational issues within storage and loading.
•Participation for monitoring and maintaining costs, associated with the Regas Operations Team’s part of the budget
•Supervise and cross train new or less experienced employees
•Serves as Incident Commander, if Operations Shift Supervisor is not onsite.
•Conduct team Emergency Response Drills and table top exercises
•Conduct routine Safety meetings and updates
•Conduct routine audits of the Permit to Work System, Task Management System
•Other duties as assigned and deemed necessary by facility supervision
Minimum Qualification/Work Experience
Minimum Required:
•Associates Degree in Process technology with 7+ years’ applicable experience working in operations within and LNG, NGL or chemical plant, or;
•High School Graduate or GED equivalent with 9+ years’ applicable experience working in operations within and LNG, NGL or chemical plant
Preferred:
•Associates Degree in Process technology with 9+ years’ applicable experience working in operations within and LNG, NGL or chemical plant
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
•Proficient in PC usage, Windows, and MS Office.
•Experienced in supervising and organizing projects.
•Effective in technical communication.
•Proficient in all Terminal and Dock operations, with comprehensive knowledge of RegasOperator roles (A/B/C).
•Motivated and proactive learner.
•Skilled in analytical problem-solving and troubleshooting.
•Strong leadership, training, mentoring, and team-building skills.
•Capable of giving clear work instructions.
•Experienced in developing and following operating procedures.
•Solid mechanical background.
•Trained in NIMS, Emergency Response, and various safety protocols including First Aid,Incident Reporting, Accident Investigation, and more.
•Proficient in emergency plans and safety systems like Lockout/Tagout and Authorized GasTesting.
•Capable of operating under pressure in dynamic environments.
•Strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards.
•Skilled in full facility operation using Honeywell Experion system DCS.
•Experienced with centrifugal pumps, cooling fans, heat exchangers, compressors, etc.
•Strong planning abilities and proficiency in reading P&ID & PFD drawings.
HSE Roles and Responsibilities
Support the policies, efforts, and programs of Freeport LNG Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Management System. Actively participate in the HSE Management System Policies. Ensure that HSE concerns are given priority in all activities completed within their area of responsibility. Implement routine inspections to ensure safe operating conditions.
Working Conditions and Physical Expectations
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
•May be required to wear respiratory protective equipment.
•Must be able to wear all necessary PPE equipment to perform job functions.
•Operates in an industrial plant environment.
•Exposure to indoor and outdoor weather conditions.
•Not necessarily protected from weather and temperature changes. Possible exposure to hot, cold, wet, humid or windy weather conditions.
•Exposure to moving mechanical parts and electrical circuits.
•Exposure to constant, or intermittent sounds of a pitch level sufficient to cause marked distraction.
•Routinely uses standard office and field communications equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers w/scanner and fax, and radios.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing throughout the shift. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
