Job Summary
This newly created role will take a lead role in day-to-day IT operations, manage infrastructure projects and support the standardization of IT processes across the company. The Senior IT Lead will collaborate with internal teams and external service providers to ensure seamless technological operations, enhance security, and foster innovation to support business growth.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
IT Service Management:
•Oversee and direct activities with our IT Service Management company to ensure high-quality service delivery and issue resolution.
•Act as the primary point of contact for escalated issues and service performance reviews.
Employee Onboarding/Offboarding
•Oversee smooth transitions for new hires and departing employees, ensuring timely setup, access provisioning, and equipment recovery.
•Coordinate with HR and relevant departments to streamline processes.
Infrastructure Project Management
•Lead infrastructure projects, including Wi-Fi deployment at facilities, consistent Wi-Fi naming conventions, firewall rule standardization, and VPN configuration.
•Develop project plans, manage timelines, and coordinate with vendors and internal teams to ensure successful delivery.
Hardware And Software Management
•Manage computer upgrades, hardware purchasing, inventory tracking, and upgrades.
•Ensure cost-effective procurement and compliance with organizational standards.
Security And Policy Enforcement
•Oversee daily security operations, including monitoring, incident response, and policy enforcement.
•Collaborate with the IT Director to implement and maintain robust cybersecurity measures.
Innovation And Growth
•Provide technical expertise to identify opportunities for innovation and scalability.
•Recommend solutions to enhance operational efficiency and support business objectives.
Process Standardization And Policy Development
•Assist in standardizing IT processes across the organization to ensure consistency and scalability.
•Contribute to the creation and documentation of IT policies to support a growing company.
Technical Expertise
•Leverage in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Entra, Azure, Exchange, DNS, Active Directory, and Microsoft Office 365 to support and optimize IT operations.
•Troubleshoot complex issues and provide guidance to the IT team and end-users.
Education And/or Experience
•Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
•5+ years of experience in IT operations, with at least 2 years in a leadershiprole.
•Proven experience managing IT infrastructure projects (e.g., Wi-Fi, firewalls, VPNs).
•Strong knowledge of Microsoft Entra, Azure, Exchange, DNS, Active Directory, and Microsoft Office 365.
•Experience with IT service management, vendor coordination, and oversight.
•Familiarity with Windows 11 deployment and hardware lifecycle management.
•Understanding of cybersecurity best practices and policy enforcement.
•Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
•Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments.
•Ability to innovate and propose solutions to support organizational growth.
Preferred Skills
•Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or ITIL Foundation.
•Experience in a multi-site or growing organization.
•Knowledge of IT policy development and process standardization.
•Experience with back-end support of multiple ERP systems.
Work Environment
•Hybrid or on-site work as required, with occasional travel to company facilities for project implementations. Availability for after-hours support during critical incidents or project milestones.
