About This Job


Primary purpose:

To understand and perform all aspects of the scheduling functions on Tallgrass company gas assets and develop the appropriate training resources for both internal and external parties. This role is a technical expert on all facets of the Tallgrass scheduling functions.



Essential duties and responsibilities:

Technical support of the Tallgrass business system, including alternative process development, process improvement and troubleshooting

+ Drive system changes and ongoing improvement through evaluation of current processes + Coordinate solutions with third party vendor

Customer service including issue investigation, identification and resolution

+ Train and assist customers in their use of the Tallgrass business system + Assist in the resolution of customer issues accurately, timely and consistent with the applicable tariffs and business practice

Develop training resources for the scheduling team to ensure proficiency and consistency in all aspects of the scheduling process
Support the development of highly-capable, motivated and service oriented team members
Foster a positive, open work environment.
Support the team that provides the scheduling function seven days per week for all Tallgrass gas assets
Perform the scheduling functions on all Tallgrass gas assets
Interface with both internal and external customers for all scheduling requirements of the company gas assets
Demonstrate and support consistent regulatory compliance
Develop and maintain professional relationships with both internal and external clients
Maintain regular, dependable attendance and a consistently high level of performance
Work non-traditional hours
Maintain a high regard for personal safety, for the safety of company assets and employees, and the general public
Other daily, weekly, monthly or special project duties as assigned



Minimum requirements :


Education:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Business, Engineering or a related discipline.



Experience/Specific Knowledge:

A minimum of two (2) years of natural gas scheduling experience.



Certifications, Licenses & Registrations:

Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers (for travel).

Strong organizational/time management skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Speak clearly, both in person and by telephone, using a high level of verbal and listening skills.
Strong analytical skills.
Ability to successfully address multiple issues under strict deadlines.
Intermediate proficiency level in MS Office applications that may include but are not limited to Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Ability to deal with a wide variety of people with tact, courtesy and professionalism.
Must be able to perform all essential and marginal functions of the job.
Must be able to work with a team, take direction from management, adhere to required work schedules, focus attention on details, and follow work rules.
Must be able to organize and prioritize daily work.

Job level commensurate with experience and skill sets; position will be filled depending on qualifications, experience and skill sets of the successful candidate.

Working Conditions:

Required to carry a cell phone and be available to respond during working and non-working hours.

The successful candidate will be required to clear a drug screen and a complete background check, including credit report for certain positions, after an offer has been extended and prior to being employed.

Above the minimum requirements; not required but advantageous in this position:

At least two (2) years of natural gas scheduling experience.



Compensation:

The annual salary range for this position will be $95,000 - $120,000/yr.
