Job Summary
An Electrical Technician Lead is responsible for designing, reviewing, and overseeing the installation and integration of electrical systems (medium and low voltage PDC/E-houses).
Responsibilities
•Design and develop electrical systems and schematics for custom-built equipment and modular systems.
•Collaborate with the fabrication team to ensure accurate electrical integration during assembly.
•Interpret and apply NEC, UL, IEC, and local electrical codes and standards.
•Create and review wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and control schematics.
•Specify and select components such as breakers, relays, control panels, VFDs, and PLCs.
•Perform design reviews and support installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems.
•Install and integrate electrical components such as breakers, disconnects, transformers, control panels, and cable trays into fabricated structures or modular buildings.
•Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, layout drawings, and installation instructions.
•Perform conduit bending, wire pulling, terminations, labeling, and panel assembly.
•Ensure all work meets NEC, UL 508A, IEC and other applicable standards.
•Test circuits for continuity, insulation resistance, and proper operation.
•Collaborate with engineers and project managers to resolve installation issues or design conflicts.
•Maintain clean and organized work areas, tools, and materials.
•Document work performed and assist with QA/QC checklists and inspections.
•Assist in preparing systems for FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) or field deployment.
Requirements
•, industrial, or construction environment.
•Experience with low, medium, and high voltage electrical systems and equipment.
•Experience with Electrical Control and Monitoring Systems
•Proficient in AutoCAD Electrical or similar CAD tools.
•Ability to read and understand blueprints and electrical drawings.
•Demonstrated knowledge of load shedding and load shedding sequence. Thorough understanding of electrical distribution systems and high, medium, and low voltage electrical equipment.
•Strong working knowledge of conduit bending, cable routing, and panel wiring.
•Able to direct activities of electrical contractors and vendors.
•Familiarity with NEC, OSHA safety standards, and lockout/tagout procedures.
•Physically able to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work in a shop environment.
•Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
