The Consumer Sales Team Lead is responsible for answering in-bound pre-sale questions by taking calls regarding Generac products as well as educating potential customers on the benefit of having an authorized sales dealer come to their home to perform an in-home consultation (IHC). Additionally, this role is responsible for providing day-to-day support to the Consumer Sales Team by coordinating the schedule, providing training to employees, facilitating developing reports and providing direction and motivation. This role acts as a back-up to the Manager of Consumer Marketing as needed.

Major Responsibilities

•

Organize schedule to ensure proper phone coverage; track and monitor attendance.

•

Act as back-up to the Consumer Sales Supervisor as needed.

•

Provide level 1 storm response assistance.

•

Complete analytic reports and daily metrics reports; provide coaching to the Consumer Sales Team as to how to improve their results.

•

Maintain records, such as training and process documents and coordinate onboarding schedule for new employees.

•

Develop Generac Lead Team follow-up process improvements.

•

Answer in-bound pre-sale questions over the phone and web chat regarding Generac products.

•

Educate consumers on the benefit of having an authorized sales dealer perform an in-home consultation; schedule in-home consultations.

•

Communicate with Generac sales dealers by following up on outstanding leads and help close the sale.

•

Offer level 1 technical support to participating dealers regarding the PowerPlay application

Minimum Requirements

•

Associates Degree or equivalent experience

•

2 Years Call Center, Sales, Customer Service/Support, or Retail experience

•

1 Year of Team or Peer Leadership experience including training, mentoring, and coaching others

Preferred Requirements

•

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Ecommerce or related field

•

Experience using SAP or Equivalent ERP

•

Excellent customer service skills;

Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in a professional manner;

•

Strong problem-solving and presentation skills;

•

Ability to type efficiently while on the phone with dealers and consumers;

•

Ability to make decisions in the best interest of the customer and the company;

•

Ability to multi-task and prioritize activities according to importance and urgency;

•

Ability to take initiative and work proactively;

•

Demonstrated accuracy and thoroughness;

•

Working proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook

Physical Demands

: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 - 50 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel.
