We are seeking an experienced Tax Analyst to join our corporate tax compliance function. You will utilize your in-depth understanding of corporate tax law and accounting to work closely with internal teams to prepare accurate tax filings and support strategic decision-making. Reporting to the Manager, Tax Compliance, this role will play an integral role in our corporate tax compliance team and make a direct impact on business decision making.

- Oversee the preparation and timely filing of corporate income tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations (as needed, support the tax provision and tax reporting function)
- Primary tax lead for Scientific Research & Experimental Development (SR&ED) claims, including facilitation amongst varying groups, compliance requirements and audit support as required
- Participate in cross-functional collaboration, working closely with the Technology & Innovation and Finance teams
- Involvement in preparing formal memorandums and communication to senior leadership
- Identify business improvement opportunities to ensure company transactions are structured appropriately
- As needed, assist with income tax audit and appeals
- Minimum of 10 years of experience working in a corporate tax role or relevant experience (Preference given to prior SR&ED experience, however not essential)
- Accounting designation (CPA)
- Completion of the CPA In-Depth tax course
- Strong technical knowledge of tax legislation and CRA administrative policies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with regards to income tax reporting and financial accounting
- High level of competence with computer and accounting systems
- Demonstrates strong communication skills, detail oriented, resourceful, demonstrated judgement, influential, strategic thinking and the ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment
