Job Summary - Supply Chain & Materials Planner

The Supply Chain & Materials Planner is responsible for managing inbound and outbound material flow across multiple facilities, ensuring inventory accuracy in SAP, and supporting production continuity through effective planning, scheduling, and supplier coordination.
Responsibilities - Supply Chain & Materials Planner
- Schedule inbound freight and obtain transportation quotes from suppliers
- Track shipment ETAs to ensure materials arrive on time for production
- Review packing lists and verify receipts within SAP
- Update purchase orders and delivery dates to support accurate MRP planning
- Manage supplier shipments through the ASN (Advanced Shipping Notice) portal
- Review production schedules to confirm required materials are available
- Maintain accurate material and inventory records in SAP
- Troubleshoot and resolve failed inventory or material transactions
- Coordinate truck shipments between company facilities (ME, GA, MK)
- Create and manage Stock Transfer Orders (STOs)
- Prepare documentation and materials for scheduled and after-hours shipments
- Plan shipments of boxes, tubing, mesh, and other production materials
- Manage Kanban inventory systems to maintain proper stock levels
- Monitor purchase orders and replenish materials as needed
- Assist with material sourcing and pricing quotes
- Manage Requests for Quotation (RFQs) and track supplier responses
- Experience with SAP ERP system, particularly in inventory and materials management modules
- Strong understanding of supply chain and logistics processes
- Familiarity with MRP (Material Requirements Planning) and Kanban systems
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working with freight carriers and managing purchase orders
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
