Provides guidance to operators in the movement of oil, water, and brine at the site. Ensures shift personnel carry out and complete assigned duties. Gives guidance and assists employees in maintenance of operating logs and records. Ensures shift personnel perform regular preventive maintenance on pumps, valves and motors. Develops schedules, plans, and procedures as directed. Conducts on-the-job training for peers. Points out job hazards and breaches of occupational safety procedures. Issues Safe Work Permits and reviews all start-up and shutdown procedures on all equipment, caverns, and brine disposal systems. Perform physical inspections of facilities and initiate action to get discrepancies corrected. Maintains Oil Accountability records, ensures proper operation of meter equipment. Reviews all field reading sheets for accuracy and for possible malfunction of equipment. Perform trending and analysis of operational data to explain deviations, develop strategies or procedures to solve problems Monitor employee performance. Provides input to operations department management during the preparation of employee assessments/evaluations and documents for formal progressive corrective actions. Prepare or participate in the preparation of training material. Perform or oversee employee training. Provides guidance, motivation, coaching and feedback to employees. Attend meetings (Monthly Safety Council, CEC and other meetings as required. Other Tasks as Assigned. . May be required to periodically backfill other operations positions as deemed necessary by management to fulfill mission. Participates on Emergency Response Team
REQUIRED: Associates Degree Process Operating Technology from an accredited school and five years experience in the operations field in oil and gas plant type environment OR HS Diploma and seven years experience in operations field in oil and gas plant type environment. Knowledge of safety procedures and ability to instruct, train, assist employees in operation, observation and record reading. This position may require the incumbent to maintain a security clearance. Must be able to operate PC and use MS Office software. DESIRED: Two years of SPR experience and supervisory experience is preferred. CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES N/A
