Description
The Operations Supervisor will oversee daily manufacturing operations, ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant production of agricultural chemical products. This role is responsible for supervising production staff, maintaining quality standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
Shipping & Receiving
We are looking for candidates with expertise and at least 5 years' experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Oversee incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments, and ensure inventory is appropriately counted and stored in the correct locations.
- Plans, coordinates work, motivates, monitors and evaluates performance of receiving associates; ensures their ability to safely operate material handling equipment to move materials to and from storage configurations; counsels, records and disciplines as necessary.
- Oversee packaging operations, and that the jug and tote lines run smoothly.
- Oversee maintenance items for the jug and tote lines are fixed and logged.
- Oversee daily blending operations, ensuring accurate formulation of chemical products, maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards, and managing a team of blending technicians.
- Coordinate with production planning to meet blending schedules and optimize resource utilization.
- Provide leadership for the successful day to day operations of the facilities.
- Ensure that safe practices/policies are the priority and adhered to at all times.
- Ensure that company policies and departmental procedures are being followed.
- Seek and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
- Guide and develop Team Leaders.
- Certify and track skill and safety training for all assigned personnel.
- Monitor and approve overtime and attendance in HRIS.
- Hold personnel accountable for performance with HR support.
- Daily review of schedule with team to ensure efficiency and proper staffing for blending/packaging/transportation in accordance with customer orders.
- Responsible for the timely execution of the production/packaging/transportation schedule within the parameters and quality standards set by the company.
- Understand, communicate, and drive KPI performance.
- Oversee sales order management ensuing that all items will be completed by their ship dates.
- Ensure compliance with and support of all department and corporate policies and procedures, including but not limited to safety, security, ESD and OSHA guidelines.
- Oversee inventory management and ensure required materials are always available for all jobs.
- Other duties as assigned by management team.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, or similar area of study preferred.
- 5+ years' experience in a manufacturing environment required. - 5+ years' experience as a supervisor with leadership and best management practices.- Valid Driver’s License
