Job Title: Mining Supervisor

Job Overview
The Mining Supervisor directs the daily mining operations of the Taft Mine site. The Supervisor utilizes a variety of heavy equipment including Dozers, Excavators, Mine haul trucks and Backhoes to mine and transport clay and provides leadership and direction to Mining teammates with regards to safety and productivity.
Essential Functions
Must be fully able to safely run mining equipment as needed.
Must be able to lead the Stripping team.
Must be able to demonstrate the ability to read Mining maps as needed.
Records of quantity of material mined as well as the hours of operation of the equipment.
Lubricates and provides routine maintenance of equipment.
Tracks and files Daily inspection forms.
Working with Upper management directs the work and cuts of the Mine.
Counts and record amounts of raw material removed from mine and transported to various locations.
Ability to schedule services for all mining equipment ie, haul trucks, backhoe, excavator, tractor, bulldozer and road grader).
Be able to relay work skills to other operators to maintain productivity.
Be able to give drug tests when applicable and do incident reports as needed.
Be able to conduct proper workplace examinations as well as complete the required paperwork following the examination.
Ensures teammates are doing the proper daily pre-trip inspection on all equipment.
Ensures that all paperwork (inspection forms, load counts) is turned into mine supervision daily.
Work with outside vendors on repair quotes and submittals for approval.
Work cross functionally with other salary teammates to identify areas to improve mining efficiencies.
Holds teammates accountable to ensure company policies and procedures are followed.

Qualifications
Strong communication skills are a must.
The ability to receive and administer training, and operate equipment associated with the mine, (i.e., dozers, excavators, water wagon, ore haul trucks)
Previous experience with heavy duty equipment operation.
Must be able to function in the required role while wearing appropriate PPE including, but not limited to: Safety glasses, hearing protection, dust mask, protective coveralls, and other as may be required by a hot/cold, dusty, loud industrial environment.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in and/or training in a mining or heavy equipment environment.
Knowledge in Process Industry and experience in a process manufacturing environment preferred.

Salary Range: $83.8K-$108K + annual bonus (15%, up to 200%)
